The most important novelty of the Skimo trails throughout the area. In Bormio, almost entirely immersed in the woods, the Skimo trail starts from the arrival of the Bormio 2000 cable car and climbs up to the Chalet La Rocca and I Rododendri restaurants. From here, beyond the managed route, an experienced ski mountaineer can choose to continue climbing on the closed slope between La Rocca and Cimino. For the descent, you can choose one of the many slopes of the Bormio ski area, including the legendary Stelvio slope where the great World Skiing Champions compete every year in downhill races.
