Uzza Valley

Starting from the Church of the Holy Crucifix in Combo Square in Bormio, continue to the Beata Vergine del Sassello Church where the sent. S540.2 that leads to Uzza, in Valfurva. Crossing Pont da Carosa, there is a steep climb that leads to the provincial road that crosses Valfurva. After a few meters, on the left, continue on the paved road that connects Teregua to the entrance of the Ables military road. From here, the route continues on the sent. S511 that initially leads to the locality Casina Bassa, where a small rural building is located. In spring and summer in this area it is possible to spot some dairy cattle grazing. Reaching the locality Premezzano you continue to Santelon, where it is possible to visit the ruins of Bormio Castle and the Gesa rota. From here you descend toward Bormio and the Piazza di Combo
