Every summer, Bormio's iconic passes offer strong emotions and new adventures.
If you are a racing bike enthusiast and dream of tackling some of the passes that have made road cycling history without motorised traffic, Bormio organises several events reserved for two wheels, including the Re Stelvio Mapei.
The Re Stelvio Mapei has become one of Bormio's classic summer events, and next year it will reach its 40th edition. This is a one of a kind event: both professional and amateur cyclists will be on the starting block, all of them united by the same passion for two wheels and the desire to tackle the legendary climb that, with 40 hairpin bends, leads to the top of the Stelvio.
1,533 metres of altitude difference to reach the 2,758 metres of Cima Coppi, for a total of 21 km from Bormio to the summit of the pass par excellence!
The event includes a competitive cycling race, a non-competitive cycling rally dedicated to pedal-assisted bikes, a half marathon and a running event open to all.
