At last the ski mountaineering trail on the Bormio 2,000 ski area, a gem starting at 2,000 meters above sea level!
In Bormio, nestled almost entirely in the woods the realized skimo trail starts from the arrival of the Bormio 2000 gondola and goes up to the restaurants Chalet La Rocca and I Rododendri. From here, beyond the managed track, an experienced ski mountaineer may decide to continue the ascent on the closed track between La Rocca and Cimino. For the descent, you can choose one of the many slopes in the Bormio ski area, including the legendary Stelvio slope where the great World Champions of downhill skiing compete every year.The skimo trail in numbers: length 1.4 km, travel time 35', elevation gain 219 mt, start at 1,942 mt, finish at 2,161 mt.
