Pizzo Tresero - from Gavia

From the Berni hut on the Gavia road located at 2541 m, descend to the bridge below over the Gavia stream and ascend near the ruined former Gavia hut. Continue halfway along the Pian Bormino to a saddle at elevation 2637 m that allows you to enter the Dosegu' Valley. Descend to the plateau below, losing about a hundred meters of elevation gain, and continue halfway up to the base of a rocky bank that you pass on the right, climbing a steep slope and then continue left, gradually bringing you to the base of the Dosegu' vedretta. Continue left, staying at the base of the obvious rocky buttress that leads to Punta Pedranzini in the direction of Bivacco Seveso, which is on the southern ridge of Pizzo Tresero. When you reach the base of a steep section you climb it, staying preferably to the left, thus reaching the base of the ridge where the Bivacco is located. One continues to the right and making a semicircle to the left brings one to the ridge where the rocks are lower. Here you usually leave your skis to continue on foot and having reached the ridge, continue along it, arriving briefly at the summit.
