Malga San Colombano Oga

Starting from the Malga di San Colombano, at almost 2,500 metres, the path leads downhill along path N280 on a wide bridleway. The path passes certain places, such as Pozza and Sposina Bassa, as well as the Oga Fortress, named after Captain Venini from Valtellina, who was awarded the Gold Medal for Military Valour. At the end of the Second World War, the military abandoned the fortress but it remained guarded until 1958, when the army decided to leave definitively, seeing no further use for it. From this historical monument the trail continues northwards along path N280 until you reach the Crap del Maro, where there is also a picnic area. From here follow the same trail to the centre of the hamlet of Oga, where you turn right onto path N277 in the via delle Scuole until you arrive near the parking area.
