With this discreetly long stage featuring medium elevation gain, we leave the quiet Val Viola to reach the tourist valley of Livigno. From the Federico in Dosde' hut there is a short ascent to the Rifugio Val Viola, nestled on the shore of some placid small lakes. Leaving the Rifugio Viola, take the downhill trail that follows the left hydrographic side of the valley, skirting the Val Viola Lake and passing a few alpine pastures until you reach the Minestra Stream where you turn northward ascending to the Passo delle Mine at 2804 meters above sea level. From here begins a long descent to Loc. Tresenda , where turning right we take a path on the orographic right that will take you quickly to the town of Livigno.
