A walk through history
Explore the centre at a leisurely pace, taking your time to observe the ancient gates with their characteristic bolts, towers and frescoes. Through medieval alleyways you will come into contact with our history and discover picturesque views, small squares with characteristic fountains and our way of life in the Alps.
Today, as then, the beating heart of the village is the ancient Kuerc square. Here you will find the town's iconic monuments such as the soaring civic tower, which with its large clock marks the life of the Bormini, and the Kuerc, the place where justice was once administered in the days of Bormina's autonomy. In the square, of course, you will also find Bormio's main church, the Church of Saints Gervasio and Protasio, a true reference point for the people of Bormio.
