It starts from the hamlet of Voga di Menarola and climbs steeply passing Alpe Dardano (1334 m a.s.l.) and then Alpe Buglio (1554 m a.s.l.). From Alpe Buglio the trail continues to the left keeping to the coast; it continues on a gentle slope through a sparse larch forest.A detour to the left leads to Alpe Forcola (1838 m) where there is the bivouac of the same name and a beautiful view. The bivouac is always open, unattended and is maintained regularly by the Pro Loco of Menarola. There are 12 equipped beds, a stove with a wood stove, and a bathroom with running water.
From here it is possible to continue the ascent to Passo della Forcola or in the direction of Val Capra (high route).
It is possible to return to Dardano/Voga via Alpe Cima.
