DEBORAH COMPAGNONI SLOPE
Does the name Deborah Compagnoni mean anything to you? She is the famous Olympic champion who was born and raised in S. Caterina Valfurva and the slope in her home town is dedicated to her.
HISTORY
Created specially for the Alpine World Championships of 2005, the Deborah Compagnoni slope has held several races of the white circus, especially of women, with the exception of 2014 and 2015 when it was the protagonist for the men's downhill, replacing the usual stage in Bormio.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
The ski run is definitely one of the most fun and interesting in the alpine arc, and thanks to its exposure to the north, has the distinctive quality of always having very solid, hard, and long lasting snow!
With a length of 3.699 metres, the start, enters a narrow path between the rocks and then enters the woods until it arrives in town.
The whole forested section includes some fun walls and some challenging sections. The final part, which is wider and descends directly into the village to reach the new gondola terminal, S.Caterina - Plaghera - Vallalpe.
The run is equipped with a modern lighting system, so it can provide for excitement on the snow even during the night skiing.
