The indoor ice rink is open 9 months a year from July to March.
The facility includes an artificially cooled FISG approved ice rink and, at the entrance, there is a convenient skate rental service (for adults and children).
At the side of the rink there is also a Coffee Break room where it is possible to rest and refresh oneself before going back out onto the ice rink.
The Bormio Ice Stadium has been the scene of several important international short track competitions.

Curling
Bormio is one of the few Alpine resorts in Italy to have an indoor curling rink, the only one in Lombardy devoted exclusively to this very special and entertaining sport.
As well as giving you the basics and the necessary equipment, the Bormio Curling Group will help you take your first steps on the ice.
Between history and myth
Curling was probably invented in Scotland in the 16th century, as shown by the discovery of a stone dated 1511 in an old pond in Dunblane. The sport still has a strong following in Canada, Switzerland and northern European countries and, thanks to the latest editions of the Olympic Games, it has also made a name for itself in Italy and, although not yet very popular, we recommend a game: you will have a great time. Stones and brooms to reach the house Each team, made up of four members, has to throw some heavy polished granite stones, called stones, towards the house, a series of concentric rings of different colours painted on the opposite side of the track. Whoever gets closest to the centre of the house wins. To help, while one member of the team throws the stone, the others use small brooms to grind the ice to direct it, trying to regulate its speed and direction. In order to allow the stones to slide with as little friction as possible, the ice is carefully set up and levelled.
