Stage of considerable development, with the strenuous ascent of Val Sassersa, interrupted by the pleasant encounter of the 3 Laghetti di Sassersa, up to Passo Ventina. Extraordinarily varied, it traverses very different environments, from Alpe Mastabbia offering a beautiful view of the Bernina range. Free of hazards, it is extraordinarily varied and evocative, as well as rich in points of ethnographic and naturalistic interest (talc quarries, soapstone quarries, alpine pastures and maggenghi). With this stage you penetrate into the heart of the Disgrazia group.
NOTES:
- It is possible from Alpe Giumellino to continue to Alpe Pirlo and then climb up. In this case you lengthen the stage by about an hour's walk. At Alpe Pirlo you can see ancient lathes used for working soapstone.
